Metal Parts Machining

CNC Metal Parts Machining

A wide range of metals for CNC machining, with applications in diverse industries. CYCOSPRAY, a trusted manufacturer, achieves your idea for both one-off prototypes and end-use custom parts. Welcome to enjoy our state-of-the-art metal machining.

Know about our CNC metal machining

As a specialized manufacturing company with over 20 years of experience, CYCOSPRAY is good at handling all kinds of materials, include magnesium, zinc, brass, steel and stainless steel. We guarantee that our CNC metal parts and assemblies will be exactly the same as your product designs or drawings.

Our machinists mainly use 3-axis and 5- axis CNC machines for producing any metal parts. State-of-the-art metal CNC machines, like the ones we use, are able to cut complicated features on parts with great accuracy, while maintaining tight tolerances.

The reasons why we choose CNC metal machining

Choosing CNC for metal processing is ideal for producing prototype or small batch production.

1. Incredibly repeatability and precision
CNC metal machining ensures a higher level of precision. Processing runs under fully automated programming, which allows each part is an exact copy of the first one. This achieves a completely consistent output and faster processing.

2. Reducing production cost
With the development of technology and science, it has become a trend to apply automated processing in the machinery manufacturing industry. It can reduce the workload of workers, enhance the output and increase the production speed. As a result, we can decrease our production cost and can help develop new markets.

3. Efficiency and flexibility
The entire manufacturing process runs on the basis of an automated machine positioning system and adjustable fixtures. This allows for greater flexibility in response to production plans.

Materials we use for CNC metal machining

Precision CNC machining is considered to be an effective method of machining metals to desired results, regardless of their hardness or strength. If your project requires a part with excellent properties such as high impact, corrosion resistance and high thermal deformation, you can take CNC metal machining into your consideration. We are able to handle a wide range of metals to meet your needs easily.

High machinability and ductility, good strength-to-weight ratio.

High tensile strength, corrosion and temperature resistant.

High machinability and weldability, high stiffness.

Low friction, excellent electrical conductivity, golden appearance.

Excellent thermal and electrical conductivity.

High strength and toughness, fatigue resistant.

High hardness and stiffness, abrasion resistant.

Excellent strength to weight ratio, used in aerospace, automotive and medical industries.

High-strength and corrosion-resistant nickel alloy.

Nickel alloy with a very low coefficient of thermal expansion.

CNC metal machining technology

Processing technology we use for CNC metal machining

Milling
Milling uses a cutting tool that cuts through the metal material in a rotating motion. Its characters include complex contours, planes, cavities, chamfers and grooves.

Turning
The raw material rotates when the tool approaches it under rectilinear motion, it is suitable for cylindrical components.

Drilling
It specializes in drilling holes into metal blanks. The main difference between CNC and manual operating that the movement of CNC is controlled by a lever, which means the diameter of the hole can be extremely accurate.

Grinding
The process of removing metal with a tool called a grinding wheel. Generally, grinding is a finishing step after thermal processing, the size of the casting has reached a relatively accurate level, and the surface is smooth.

CNC metal machining FAQs

How much does CNC metal machining cost?

The cost of metal CNC machining depends on the complexity and size of the part and the type of metal that is used. These will affect the type of machine that is required, the time it takes to produce the part, and the cost of the raw material.

You can create almost any component that can be represented with a CAD file. The more complex the machine (eg: 5-axis machines, the most accurate machine now) the more complex the geometry that can be milled.

The standard toleranceis about +/- 0.005 inches (0.127 mm), while precision machining can reach +/- 0.0002 inches (0.00508 mm). No matter how complex your part is, CNC machining is probably the best choice.
